One Click, All Armed: New Battle Plan Alerts and Discipline in a Parabolic Market

Posted: Thursday May 7, 2026

☀️ AM BRIEFING

Thursday, May 7 — the day before Non-Farm Payroll — opened with a major member benefit rollout: one-click Battle Plan alerts that arm every mapped ES futures daily trade setup simultaneously inside TradingView. George walked the community through the full setup live, from arming the indicator to choosing notification methods, while the market continued its parabolic grind north and left VPOCs in the wake. With the best setups sitting far from current price and a Level 10 trading day arriving tomorrow, the session reinforced two things that never change: know how to arm your tools, and know when not to trade. Patience — and precision — are the only edges that survive a market like this one.

New Battle Plan Alert System

George rolled out a major upgrade to the MicrosTrader Battle Plan indicator: one-click TradingView alerts that arm every mapped trade simultaneously. When price crosses a label — you get notified. On your phone, your desktop, your email. Here’s the full setup.

Three steps to arm your alerts:

  • Step 1 — Update the indicator: Pull the latest version of the MicrosTrader Battle Plan indicator. When updated, it will show “alert test” to confirm you have the new build.
  • Step 2 — Click three dots → Add Alert → Create: One click sets an alert for every Battle Plan trade mapped that session. All of them. At once.
  • Step 3 — Check your notification settings: Inside your alert, go to the Notifications tab. Choose how you want to be reached: mobile app push, toast popup, email, or sound. George recommends the TradingView mobile app — it pops up just like a text message.

What happens when it fires: The alert fires the moment price crosses a labeled Battle Plan level. It identifies which plan triggered — BP1, BP2, or BP3. It fires only once per plan. George has his routed via webhook, so it posts automatically into the Discord group.

ChartBuddy alerts vs. indicator alerts — a quick comparison:

MethodHow it worksBest for
Indicator alertOne click arms all plans. No per-level control.Members who want simplicity and speed.
ChartBuddy alertSets alerts one by one. Full control per level.Members who want fine-tuning. PC recommended — Mac install is still in progress.
This is not set-and-forget. You must re-arm the alerts every day after loading the updated indicator. When you load tonight’s Battle Plan and arm a new alert, it gets added to the top of your list. The previous day’s alert stays — it won’t do anything, but clean it up. Delete old alerts so they don’t pile up.

Trader Lesson 1

Three dots → Add Alert → Create. That’s it. One click, all plans armed. Do it every day when you load the updated indicator. TradingView won’t arm it for you — that part is on you.

Parabolic Market and NFP Week

ES futures made new all-time highs Thursday morning. No sellers. VPOCs left in the wake — price moving so fast it’s not building volume at these levels. Maybe tulip mania. Maybe short covering. What George knows for certain: the more parabolic the chart, the fewer trades he takes.

“The more parabolic we go, the less trades I am personally going to take. My places that I’m interested are further away. Trusting the price action becomes less and less.” This isn’t fear — it’s precision. Quality setups require a retest, a pullback, and a level. When price is vertical, those conditions don’t exist.

What’s on the calendar this week and next:

WhenEventSignificance
Friday May 8Non-Farm PayrollLevel 10 trading day. Mount Rushmore of volatility events. Follow your trade plan.
Next WeekCPIInflation data — high volatility potential across all sessions.
Next WeekRetail SalesConsumer spending data — significant market mover.
Next WeekFed Chair VoteDecision on new Fed chairman — major volatility catalyst.

Trader Lesson 2

In a parabolic market, your setups move further away. The more vertical the chart, the fewer trades George takes — not because he’s scared, but because his levels require a bounce, a flush, and a setup. When price doesn’t cooperate, there is no trade. Keep your standards high when price is high.

Counter-Trend Rules in a Bull Market

Bulls firmly control. New all-time highs in Dow and NQ. ES following. In this environment, trading against the trend isn’t impossible — but it demands a completely different approach. Futures trading psychology matters here as much as the setup itself.

“Expect every short to be a break-even or a loser if you take it. If it becomes a winner, it could be monster. So therefore, you don’t need to be big.”
  • Bulls control. Shorts are counter. Small if at all. This is the framework. Not a suggestion — a rule.
  • Be surgical: If you’re shorting in an up move, you have to be “so surgical and so perfect.” One sloppy entry wipes out multiple clean ones.
  • No knife-catching on the way down: If the market vomits, don’t try to pick the turnaround level. Require laddering. Let it get to a Battle Plan location. Wait for the vomit, then wait some more — one to one and a half to three hours of follow-through before looking for the bottom.
  • Don’t size up on counter trades: You don’t need to be big. The move will pay you if you’re right. Small size is the only thing protecting your account if you’re wrong.
  • Manage what you have: If you’re long from a prior session, stay long. If you’re short from overnight, try to stay short. If you’re flat — wait for something new. No prediction trading.

Trader Lesson 3

Counter trading in a bull market: expect break-even or a loss. If it works, it could work big — that’s exactly why you go small. Small size lets you survive the misses and stay in the game for the one that actually pays.

Managing Runners and Sniper Entries

Two battle plan longs from earlier in the week were still running Thursday morning — one up 150 points, one up 85 points. For those traders, George’s instruction was simple: play perfect chess. One job. Hold the runner. Don’t second-guess it. Let price come to you.

On the Zoom session, George also identified a sniper long opportunity when ES backtested the opening and overnight trend line — a defined entry targeting the overnight high, with a stop just above the opening. Entry and exit provided. Most traders who followed took a clean 10-pointer and called it a day.

  • Runner management: If you’re in from a prior Battle Plan, your only job is to hold. Check in periodically. Manage your stop. Let it run.
  • Sniper entries: Price comes to a level, you take the trade with a defined stop, you take the profit at the target. Clean and surgical. Don’t overstay.
  • Know when to walk: “Stop trading or manage your runner playing perfect chess. Take a break. Walk away. Be content.” That’s the full instruction.
  • Multiple contracts: If you played it with multiple contracts, you can apply the Three-Contract System — peel the first at target, move your stop, let a runner breathe. If you were in with one, take the profit and be done.

Trader Lesson 4

Honestly… five to ten points a day… consistently… is all you need. When you hit your target, take the profit and walk. You don’t have to be in every move. Consistent small wins compound into something real.

“Expect every short to be a break-even or a loser. If it becomes a winner, it could be a monster. That’s why you don’t need to be big.”

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS

How do I set up Battle Plan alerts in TradingView?

A: Update your MicrosTrader Battle Plan indicator — it will say “alert test” to confirm you have the latest version. Then click the three dots on the indicator, click Add Alert, and click Create. That arms the alerts for every Battle Plan trade mapped that session. All of them at once. To choose how you’re notified, go to your Alerts tab, click the alert, and check the Notifications tab — options include mobile app push, toast popup, email, or sound. George recommends the TradingView mobile app for a pop-up that works just like a text message.

Do I have to set up Battle Plan alerts every single day?

A: Yes. This is not set-and-forget. TradingView cannot arm alerts on your behalf — you have to click Add Alert every day after loading the updated indicator. It takes three clicks: three dots → Add Alert → Create. Each day you arm it, a new alert is created at the top of your list. The previous day’s alert stays — it won’t trigger anything, but delete it to keep your list clean. Also note: the alerts are set to stop firing after the regular trading hours close, so you won’t get stray notifications after the session ends.

What’s the difference between ChartBuddy alerts and the Battle Plan indicator alerts?

A: The Battle Plan indicator alert is one click — it arms every mapped trade at once with no per-level control. When price crosses any label, it fires and tells you which plan triggered (BP1, BP2, BP3). ChartBuddy sets alerts one by one, per level, giving you the ability to adjust exactly where each alert fires. Both methods notify you the same way. If you want simplicity, use the indicator. If you want fine-tuning, use ChartBuddy — but Mac users should hold off until George’s Apple developer certification makes the install smoother.

Why is Non-Farm Payroll a Level 10 trading day?

A: Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) is a monthly jobs report released on the first Friday of each month. It is one of the most volatile economic events on the calendar — ES futures can rip 50 to 100+ points in either direction within seconds of the release. George calls it “Not For Professionals.” The speed and unpredictability make it nearly impossible to trade with any edge. For most traders, the right call on NFP Friday is to watch, not trade. Follow your trade plan — it should tell you exactly what to do on NFP days.

What does “counter, small if at all” mean in futures trading?

A: This is George’s rule for trading against the dominant trend. When Bulls control, any short is a counter trade — you’re fighting momentum. “Small if at all” means: if you take it, use minimal size. The logic is straightforward — most counter trades will break even or lose. But if one works, it can work in a big way. Small size means you survive the losses and stay ready for the winner. Full size against a controlling trend is how accounts get damaged.

What is a VPOC and why does it matter for ES futures traders?

A: VPOC stands for Volume Point of Control — the price level where the most volume was traded during a given session. When price moves away quickly, as in a parabolic move, VPOCs are left behind as magnets. Price tends to return to them eventually because that’s where value was built. George tracks the VPOC list and posts it in Discord. In a parabolic market, these levels serve as potential exit targets on long trades and important reference points for any future pullback. If you’re short and price is approaching a VPOC from above, it’s worth noting as a potential exit.

How do I manage a lotto runner in ES futures?

A: A lotto runner is a single contract kept after your lead contracts have been peeled off at target. Once you’ve taken your primary profit and moved your stop to break even or better, the runner has one job: stay alive. George’s instruction is to play perfect chess — hold it, don’t second-guess it, check in periodically, manage your stop, and let the market do the work. Two battle plan runners were up 150 and 85 points on Thursday morning — both from earlier-week entries that traders held with discipline.

When should I stop trading for the day in ES or MES futures?

A: Stop trading — or manage your runner playing perfect chess — once you hit your daily goal. Take a break. Walk away. Be content. Only trade your best hours, and adjust your afternoon risk settings when the morning session winds down. George’s benchmark: five to ten points a day, consistently, is all you need. Trading past your goal is how discipline breaks down and small wins become losses.

What does “no level, no trade” mean?

A: This is one of George’s core trading rules — and it came up multiple times Thursday. “No level, no trade. Make price come to you. No prediction trading.” It means: you do not enter a trade unless price is at a predefined level — a Battle Plan entry, a Strong Level, or a mapped setup. You never chase, never predict, never trade in the middle of a range. If price isn’t at your level, you wait. The market doesn’t owe you a trade. Make price come to you.
