| 0:00 | Welcome ES MES Futures Traders |
| 0:41 | This Week's Scripture Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. |
| 0:54 | ADP, PCE and Tomorrow's NFPNon-Farm Payrolls (NFP)The monthly jobs report released first Friday of each month. BIG market mover. Strong jobs = bullish economy. Weak jobs = concerns. Full entry → ADP and PCE print 15 minutes before the open. PCE is the FOMCFOMC (Federal Open Market Committee)The Fed committee that sets monetary policy. FOMC meeting days = volatility. The 2:00 PM announcement and press conference can swing ES 100+ points. Full entry →'s leading inflation indicator. Tomorrow is the day before non-farm payroll. |
| 1:19 | Why the Battle PlanBattle PlanA set of pre-mapped trade scenarios created the night before trading begins. This is your roadmap for the day. It outlines specific zones where you're interested in engaging price—long or short—if the market behaves according to plan. Full entry → Fewer, higher-quality trades mapped on your TradingView chart every afternoon. High-probability reaction zones where bulls or bears come alive. |
| 1:45 | Zoom Value: Points Earned and Saved Over 2,000 live sessions. The room keeps you on the right side of price. Sometimes the value is in the points you save, not just the points you earn. |
| 2:08 | Core Strategy and Four-Badge Challenge Draw horizontal lines, trade the bounces. Full members submit four charts for four grades and learn to draw the same levels George draws. |
| 2:30 | Monday Review: Battle Plan 1 A couple entries that didn't follow through to target… an early red flag bulls were struggling. A separate long recap ran 50 points. |
| 3:23 | Tuesday Review: Battle Plan 2 A clean 54, then paid again on the return move. George is still long per his Battle Plan trade management. |
| 4:14 | Where We Are: The Larger Range Still battling the range and can't clear the 50% area. Sunday opening and Friday POCPoint of Control (POC)The price level with the MOST volume traded during the session. This is the fairest price—where buyers and sellers agreed the most. Full entry → sit overhead as upside targets. |
| 4:41 | Laddering Down Into Lower Distribution Higher timeframe is laddering down toward the bottom of the range. Lose this range and the next stop is far below, potentially 300 points. |
| 5:03 | Not Every Level Is a Trade If a Battle Plan level vomits straight through with no ladder, it's not an entry. Drop to the next Battle Plan trade. |
| 5:16 | Trade Location Says Longs Very difficult to call shorts here. Location says look for longs. George will stand aside on a breakdown rather than short bad location. |
| 5:59 | Smarter, Safer Longs Not every trade runs 100 points. In the lower distribution take only longs with more confirmation and a small stop lossStop LossYour "uncle point"—the price where you admit you were wrong and exit. ALWAYS use stops. Always. No stop = eventual account blow-up. Full entry →. |
| 6:29 | Dow Ladder Back Confirms ES The Dow grabbed last week's low and laddered back beautifully as ES hit Battle Plan 2. That was the confirmation we wanted. |
| 7:02 | News Ahead and Close Let ADP and PCE print, then trade the reaction live 15 minutes before the open. Together we trade better. |
MES MICROS TRADE PLAN
Lower Distribution Longs Demand a Smaller Stop
Posted: Wednesday September 30, 2026
Episode 865, and the tape is telling you exactly where you stand. ES is still stuck inside the larger range, laddering down on the high time frame, sitting in the lower distribution. Trade location says one thing today… look for longs, don’t reach for shorts. But a long down here is a smarter long: more confirmation, a smaller stop, and the patience to skip a level that vomits straight through instead of laddering. ADP and PCE hit 15 minutes before the open, and we trade it live in the ES futures morning briefing room on Zoom and YouTube.
WHERE WE ARE ON THE CHART
We’re still battling this larger range. Price can’t seem to get above the 50% area, and we’re giving clear evidence of laddering down on a higher timeframe. That puts us near the bottom of the range, in the lower distribution.
Two targets still sit at the upper end:
- Sunday opening: a monster target overhead that price has not been able to reclaim.
- Friday POC: the prior Point of ControlPoint of Control (POC)The price level with the MOST volume traded during the session. This is the fairest price—where buyers and sellers agreed the most. Full entry →, the highest-volume price node, stacked as a second upside magnet.
If we lose this range, the next real stop is way down… potentially a 300-point move lower. That’s not a place George will be short. Trade location down here is where you look for longs, not where you chase a breakdown.
TRADE LOCATION SAYS LONGS
This is the discipline of the day. Even with the chart laddering down, George is not calling shorts here. It’s very difficult to call shorts at this location, and that’s not what we do. Where you are in the range decides what you’re allowed to hunt.
Down in the lower distribution, the job is to keep looking for longs. But smarter longs.
Trader Lesson 1
Trade location decides direction. In the lower distribution of a range, you look for longs… you don’t force shorts just because the tape feels heavy.
Not every trade is going to be the one that runs a hundred-something points. You don’t know in advance which trade that will be, so you take the good-location longs and let the runners prove themselves.
NOT EVERY LEVEL IS A TRADE
The Battle Plan maps high-probability reaction zones as price arrives. That does not mean every level is an automatic entry. You read what price DOES at the level before you commit.
Say there’s a Battle Plan trade at a level and price just vomits straight through it. No ladder. No reaction. That’s not an entry. You don’t argue with it… you go down to the next Battle Plan trade and see how price behaves there.
Trader Lesson 2
A level that vomits straight through with no ladder is not an entry. Skip it and move to the next Battle Plan trade. The map is a menu, not a mandate.
Trader Lesson 3
A long inside a laddering-down range has to be smarter. More confirmation, and only the entries that hand you a small stop loss. Safer beats sooner.
THE WEEK SO FAR: BATTLE PLAN PAYING
Quick review of what the Battle Plan has offered this week, and where the honesty of the tape showed up early.
| Day | Setup | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Battle Plan 1 | A couple entries that didn’t follow through to target… an early red flag that bulls were struggling. A separate long recap ran 50 points. |
| Tuesday | Battle Plan 2 | A clean 54, then paid again on a return move… roughly back-to-back. George notes he is still long per his Battle Plan trade management. |
The tell was the follow-through. When Battle Plan 1 entries couldn’t reach target, that was your early warning that bulls were struggling and the range would keep pressing lower. Read what the levels do, not just where they are.
THE DOW LADDER BACK, AND WHY IT MATTERED FOR ES
The Dow took out last week’s low and gave an amazing ladder back off it. That’s the exact behavior we were looking for on ES. Dow grabbed its weekly low, ES hit Battle Plan 2, and both happened beautifully and in sync… a textbook ladder back off a grabbed level.
A ladder back is price stepping away from a level in sequential legs after tagging it, confirming the reaction instead of blowing straight through. That confirmation is what turns a level on the map into an entry you can actually trust.
Trader Lesson 4
Watch correlated markets for the tell. When the Dow grabbed its weekly low and laddered back, it confirmed the reaction to look for as ES tagged Battle Plan 2.
WHY ZOOM: POINTS EARNED AND POINTS SAVED
After more than 2,000 live sessions with the group, the value of Zoom isn’t only the points earned. Sometimes it’s the points saved… the bad trade you didn’t take because you were kept on the right side of price action with calm, patient trading.
Two things anchor every session:
- Battle Plan: fewer, higher-quality, well-thought-out trades, already mapped on your TradingView chart every afternoon. High-probability reaction zones where we expect the bulls or the bears to come alive.
- Core Strategy: you draw horizontal lines, price touches the line and bounces, and we trade the bounces. If you become a full member, complete the four-badge challenge… submit four charts, get four grades, and learn to draw the same levels George draws.
Today ADP and PCE land 15 minutes before the bell, with PCE being the FOMC’s leading inflation indicator. Tomorrow is the day before non-farm payroll. Let the news print, then trade the reaction.
“Every time I’m looking for a long here, I better be a little smarter, a little safer… only take longs that give me a small stop loss.”
COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What does trade location mean in ES futures?
A: Trade location is where price sits inside the larger range, and it decides what you’re allowed to hunt. In the lower distribution near the bottom of the range, you look for longs. Near the top you look for shorts. Today ES is in the lower distribution, so the bias for setups is long even though the higher timeframe is laddering down.
Why avoid shorting ES when it’s laddering down?
A: Because the location is wrong for it. Price is already near the bottom of the range, so a short here is chasing into support where a bounce is likely. George would rather stand aside and let a possible 300-point flush happen without him than short into bad location. You look for longs where longs make sense.
What is a ladder back and why does it matter?
A: A ladder back is price stepping away from a level in sequential legs after tagging it, instead of blasting straight through. It confirms the level actually reacted. Today the Dow grabbed last week’s low and laddered back, which was the confirmation we wanted as ES hit Battle Plan 2.
What happens when price vomits straight through a Battle Plan level?
A: If price rips through a mapped level with no ladder and no reaction, it’s not a valid entry. You don’t force the trade. You drop down to the next Battle Plan trade and judge price behavior there. The map is a menu of possible entries, not a command to take every one.
How should I size a long inside a laddering-down range?
A: Raise your standard. Wait for more confirmation and only take entries that give you a small stop loss. A tight stop keeps your risk defined when you’re trading against the higher-timeframe direction, so a wrong read costs little and a right read pays.
What is PCE and why does it matter for ES today?
A: PCE is the Personal Consumption Expenditures inflation report, and it’s the FOMC’s leading indicator for its rate decisions. It printed alongside ADP employment data 15 minutes before the open, which can drive a sharp reaction. The plan is to let the news print, then trade the level, not guess the number.
What is the Point of Control (POC)?
A: The POC is the price with the highest traded volume over a session, the fattest node on the volume profileVolume ProfileA histogram showing how much volume traded at each price level. High volume = agreement on fair value. Low volume = price just passed through. Full entry →. It acts as a magnet and a key level. Friday’s POC is stacked with the Sunday opening as an upside target ES has not been able to reclaim.
What is the Battle Plan and how do I get it?
A: The Battle Plan is MicrosTrader’s nightly ES trade plan… fewer, higher-quality reaction zones mapped on your TradingView chart every afternoon before the next session. You get tomorrow’s entries tonight at microstrader.com under Battle Plan, then trade them live with the room 15 minutes before the open.
What is Core Strategy and the four-badge challenge?
A: Core Strategy is drawing horizontal lines where price is likely to react, then trading the bounces when price touches them. The four-badge challenge is for full members… you submit four charts and get four grades, so you learn to draw the same levels George draws.
