| 0:37 | Happy Friday and This Week's Scripture Briefing #867 opens with Galatians 6:9. Do not grow weary doing good. |
| 1:01 | Friday Rules and Capital Preservation Go into the weekend a winner and never give the week back. Tighten your daily stop and bank a slice of the week. |
| 1:46 | Non-Farm Payroll Caution It is jobs report day. Check what your own rules say about trading NFPNon-Farm Payrolls (NFP)The monthly jobs report released first Friday of each month. BIG market mover. Strong jobs = bullish economy. Weak jobs = concerns. Full entry →, or make it a one-and-done. |
| 2:38 | Trap the TraderTrap the TraderA market behavior, often occurring during news events or OPEX (Option Expiration), where price whipsaws to trap retail traders on the wrong side before moving in the real direction. Full entry → Game Show The recurring segment on overleveraging, revenge trading and FOMO. Do not become a victim. |
| 4:03 | The System in a Nutshell Fewer, higher quality, pre-planned trades. Risk-first entries, the Three-Contract System, and holding a lotto runnerLotto RunnerA "risk-free" contract held after initial profits are locked in. Your stop is moved to break-even (or slightly profitable), allowing you to potentially capture a massive move—100+ points—with zero risk. Full entry →. |
| 5:00 | Weekly Scoreboard The Battle PlanBattle PlanA set of pre-mapped trade scenarios created the night before trading begins. This is your roadmap for the day. It outlines specific zones where you're interested in engaging price—long or short—if the market behaves according to plan. Full entry → crushed it all week because we knew where to look for longs and shorts. |
| 5:46 | Ignore the Noise, Stick to the System George had to ignore outside factors and even members' opinions and trade where the plan said to be. |
| 6:06 | The Week Zoomed Out: Bull Bear Line Every push into the Bull Bear Line failed. It back-tested and set up the big move. |
| 6:29 | Thursday Trade Recap Multiple winners: a 50-point move into Battle Plan 2, follow-through to Battle Plan 3, and shorts to a new low. |
| 8:43 | Lotto Runner and the Double Tap A breakevenBreakevenMoving your stop to your entry price once the trade moves in your favor. You're now risk-free! This is a psychological win. Full entry → runner stop got George out to the tick and cost an 80-point move. Keep the runner stop negative. |
| 9:42 | Trade Price, Not Opinion A bearish trader dropped his opinion, got on board with the mapped direction, and banked a 25-pointer. |
| 10:24 | Holding the Runner to Target Price reclaimed the level, gave a clean add, and ran to the mapped target at the IB. |
| 11:17 | Back to the Bull Bear Line Price is parked at the line and the trend line. Is this the pullback that finally breaks it? |
| 11:45 | Nothing to Do: Standby Today No shorts are mapped here, so George stays flat and watches. Patience is the plan on NFP Friday. |
MES MICROS TRADE PLAN
Why Your Lotto Runner Belongs in a Negative Position
Posted: Friday October 02, 2026
It is Friday, October 2, and it is non-farm payroll. That means Friday rules are in full effect and today is a mental and capital preservation day. This ES futures morning briefing zooms the whole week out to one level that did all the work… the Bull Bear Line. Every push into it failed, it back-tested, and then the big move paid. The hard lesson George shares is on runner management inside the Three-Contract System, where a breakeven stop instead of a negative one got him out to the tick and cost an 80-point move. Today there is almost nothing to do, and that is a trade decision too.
FRIDAY RULES AND CAPITAL PRESERVATION
Go into the weekend a winner. Never give your week back on Friday… it is not worth it. Friday is built for protecting what the week already gave you, and today it stacks with non-farm payroll on top.
George laid out the ways to enforce it on yourself before the open:
- Smaller daily stop: Adjust your Friday risk setting so your platform locks you out once you hit the limit.
- Lean on your leverage matrix: Strict adherence, no Friday exceptions.
- Bank a slice of the week: If you are up 115 points, be willing to risk only a small piece of that and keep the rest.
- One and done: Take one good trade, or come in just for the love of price action, then close the platform, close Zoom, and go enjoy your day.
Trader Lesson 1
Go into the weekend a winner. Never give your week back on Friday… tighten your daily stop, bank a slice of the week, and if you trade at all, make it one and done.
THE SYSTEM IN A NUTSHELL
George ran the system slide because it matters. Our edge is taking fewer, higher quality, pre-planned, well-thought-out trades. That is the Battle Plan. We are risk-first focused with laser-tight entries using the Three-Contract System.
The pieces that make it work:
- Play perfect chess: Hold a lotto runner to capture the big move when the board has already been mapped the night before.
- Add to winners: When price confirms your plan, add to the trade that is already working, not the one that is fighting you.
- Journal the process: Track your behavioral patterns, scrutinize them, and refine the plan so your performance rises over time.
- Same process daily: Perfect patience, repeated every session, is how you become the trader you were meant to be.
THE BULL BEAR LINE HELD ALL WEEK
Zoom the week out and one horizontal level tells the whole story. The Bull Bear Line is the key dividing level between bullish and bearish bias, and this week it was a clean one. Every time price climbed into it, it failed.
On Wednesday price tried, it bounced, bounced, bounced, failed, then back-tested… and that was the setup for the big move. That is the point of the line. It tells you where to look for longs and where to look for shorts so you are not guessing.
Yesterday was pay dirt. Longs off the lower location, a 50-point move into Battle Plan 2, follow-through into Battle Plan 3, and shorts on the way down for the traders who wanted a new low. You know where you are because the Battle Plan mapped it.
Trader Lesson 2
Know where you are. The Bull Bear Line tells you where to hunt longs and where to hunt shorts… the right trade at the right location is what matters most.
THE LOTTO RUNNER AND THE DOUBLE TAP
Here is the mechanical lesson George paid for in real time. The Three-Contract System runs a lotto runner to capture extended moves. If you want that runner to survive a double tap, its stop belongs in a negative position… not at breakeven.
George was up since 2 AM. His runner stop sat at breakeven instead of negative, and one candle wicked down and got him out to the tick. He had plenty of points banked, so he could have moved that stop into the negative. He did not, and it cost him an 80-point long. He managed a gray-green day and called it what it was.
Trader Lesson 3
To survive a double tap, keep your lotto runner stop in a negative position, not at breakeven. A breakeven stop gets tapped to the tick and leaves the big move on the table.
IGNORE THE NOISE, TRADE WHAT PRICE IS DOING
Twice this week on Zoom, members cautioned George against looking for longs because of factors he does not analyze. He had to ignore that noise, stick to the system, and trade where the Battle Plan said to be. He coaches newer members to do the same.
One trader came in bearish, saying he would not be looking for longs. Then he watched the Battle Plan work in the direction it said it would, got on board with what price was actually doing, and banked a 25-pointer. That is the move… trade the price action in front of you, not the opinion in your head.
Trader Lesson 4
Ignore the noise, even when it comes from your own members. Get on board with what price is doing, not what you think it should do.
TODAY’S PLAN: STANDBY
Price is back up at the Bull Bear Line and the trend line, and honestly there is jack nothing to do. You are either holding a lotto runner from the move already captured or you are flat. The odds are there is no trade today.
Could you entertain a short here? You could. George will not… there are no shorts he has mapped at this location. He will be on standby, watching price action with the room 15 minutes before the open. On non-farm payroll Friday, that patience is the plan.
“If you want to survive a double tap, you better have your lotto runner in a negative position.”
COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is the Bull Bear Line in ES futures?
A: The Bull Bear Line is the key horizontal level that divides bullish bias from bearish bias. Above it you look for longs, below it you look for shorts. This week every push into the line failed, it back-tested, and that failure set up the big directional move.
Why should a lotto runner stop be in a negative position instead of breakeven?
A: A runner is meant to capture an extended move, which means it has to survive a double tap, where price wicks back through your level before running. A breakeven stop sits right at the level the market taps, so it gets you out to the tick. Setting the stop in a modest negative position gives the runner the room to stay in the move.
What is the Three-Contract System in ES micro futures?
A: It is Micros Trader’s core position sizingPosition SizingHow many contracts you trade based on your account size and risk tolerance. Proper sizing keeps you alive. Risk too much? Full entry → framework. You split the position so part takes profit at mapped targets and a final lotto runner is held to capture the larger move. Managing the runner’s stop is what lets you hold for the big move without giving back the trade.
What are Friday rules in futures trading?
A: Friday rules are George’s capital and mental preservation guardrails for the last session of the week. Go into the weekend a winner, never give the week back, tighten your daily stop, bank a slice of your weekly profit, and if you trade at all make it one and done.
Should you trade ES futures on non-farm payroll day?
A: Check what your own trade rules say first. Non-farm payroll drives violent, news-driven price action that can destroy an undisciplined account, so many traders stand down entirely or treat it as a one-and-done, watch-only session.
What does one and done mean?
A: One and done means you take a single good trade, or simply come in to watch price action, then close the platform and Zoom and walk away. It protects the week you already earned and removes the temptation to overtrade into the weekend.
How do you add to a winning trade with the Battle Plan?
A: You add only when price confirms the plan is working in the direction it was mapped. When price reclaims a key level like Battle Plan 2 and gives a clean entry, you can add to the position that is already winning rather than averaging into a loser.
Why should you ignore other traders’ opinions in the room?
A: Opinions and outside factors you do not analyze are noise that pulls you off your system. Stick to where the Battle Plan tells you to look and trade what price is actually doing. One trader this week dropped his bearish opinion, got on board with the mapped direction, and banked a 25-point winner.
