ES & MES FUTURES TRADE PLAN #362
🎧 Read Aloud
TODAY’S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
Sunday Opening:
Nice gap up.
Leaping right over the Bull Bear Line and our Battle Plan trade ideas.
Talk about signs of strength!
Sundays often offer incredible entries… last night was not one of them.
You had to already be long… like I was.
RTH Session
We saw it very, very well.
Today’s price action is about as easy as it gets.
After the horrible price action of July, easy takes some getting used to.
Range Rules Rule… that was the trade. Simple and easy.
1. We discussed a possible ES long off the retap of the opening with the stop under Friday’s high. You would have had to front-run the opening to be long as ES did not fully retest the opening – a sign of strength.
2. The Speculator Special had a risky short at 7575 with a nice 5-8 point bounce.
3. Then we mapped a long when we popped back into the range. A perfect long with 10-point take profits and outlined targets above. We also outlined stop management to be in the trade for a potential 30-50 point move.
Behold The Power of a Single Lotto MES Runner
For me… Friday’s add-on paid off big this morning. I peeled it for a 130-pointer… right at the outlined Battle Plan 1️⃣ take-profit mapping. And yes… that entry came straight off the Battle Plan too. And that lotto runner from Wednesday’s 7338.75 Battle Plan 3️⃣ long? Still holding it… up over 250-points.
See the chart below: Multiple 100-points on this run up. Those were all Battle Plan trade ideas mapped the night before.
300-Point Long MES Runner
Well… there it is!
For the traders with the right account, this was one of the easiest runners to hold.
There are no easier points to earn other than holding a lotto runner when price moves your direction.

Monday ES Live Trading Room | Lotto Runner
For those who held their Lotto Runner long from the outlined long on the Zoom and YouTube Live trading session… that paid well!
As the video above shows … when we fair value gapped into the range I said, “This is where it is better to look for a long… a positional long.”
Many traders bagging 20+ pointers.
Micros Trader “Range Rules”
Every member gets the same piece of advice from me… “Never ever counter Range Rules.”
We talk about these rules every single day when we are in a range. (Search YouTube for many videos.)
Range Rules Rule!
You have heard me say it a hundred times, and ES keeps proving it.
When ES trades inside an established range, the play is simple… look for longs near the bottom of the range and (maybe) shorts near the top. See the image below.
Counter that at your own risk and PNL.
Going short at the bottom or long at the top means you must be nearly 100% correct immediately just to survive.
Trade location comes first, every time… a perfect candle setup in the wrong location is worthless.
Lose a range and price tends to ladder down to the next one.
Recapture a range with a snappy ladder back and we look for the move to the other side.
That is exactly how the Battle Plan is mapped… reaction zones at the edges of the ranges, keeping you on the right side of the price action. Ignore Range Rules at your own peril.
“Range Rules” Rule Breakers
“If you countered Range Rules today… come to the front of the class, please.”
Get out a piece of paper. You are writing one sentence, 100 times, by hand.
“And no, Doug… you cannot tape two pencils together and cheat. You always want twice as much with half the discipline. That right there is your problem, Mr. Baumgarten. You think you are special. So do you, Mr. Whetstine. And you too, Mrs. Beckworth. You think you can break the rules whenever you want without repercussions. Well, I have news for you. Mr. Market. Always. Disciplines. The undisciplined.”
Handwrite this 100 times. Say each line out loud as you write it.
I will never ever counter Range Rules.
I will never ever counter Range Rules.
I will never ever counter Range Rules.
Now, be seated.
Tip of the Day
Never Short?
You never have to SHORT ES to make all the money you need!
I believe that with all my heart.
90% long is the way… IMHO.
Trader’s Homework
“The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching.” – John Wooden
When Tim saw the homework simulator, he remarked, “This hits so many things simultaneously: review, accountability, feedback, consensus/agreement on levels and their tradability.”

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What are Range Rules in ES futures trading?
A: When ES trades inside an established range, the play is simple… look for longs near the bottom of the range and maybe shorts near the top. Going short at the bottom or long at the top means you must be nearly 100% correct immediately just to survive. Lose a range and price tends to ladder down to the next one. Recapture a range with a snappy ladder back and we look for the move to the other side. The Battle Plan maps reaction zones at the edges of the ranges to keep you on the right side of the price action.
What is a Strong Level?
A: A Strong Level is a key price zone on the ES chart where institutions have stepped in and defended price before… a spot where the market proved it cares. In this Battle Plan, the reclaim of the Strong Levels is the trigger to get long on the deeper trade ideas and the signal to add to a winning trade above 7420. Trade location comes first, every time… a perfect candle setup in the wrong location is worthless.
What is a lotto runner?
A: A lotto runner is a small piece of a winning trade… often a single MES micro contract… left working after profits are banked. Your risk stays tiny while the runner rides the bigger move. Wednesday’s Battle Plan long at 7338.75 produced a runner up over 300-points. There are no easier points to earn than holding a lotto runner when price moves your direction.
What is the Speculator Special?
A: The Speculator Special is a higher risk trade idea marked on the Battle Plan for aggressive traders only. It sits at a spot where price may react, but the odds run lower than a standard Battle Plan setup. Today’s Speculator Special short at 7575 bounced for a quick 5 to 8 points. Small size, fast profits, and respect the risk.
What is Core Strategy?
A: Core Strategy is the Micros Trader intra-day scalping method for Full Members… entering with limit orders at specific zones where institutions step in and defend price. Members scale out of winners and keep a risk-free runner working for the larger move. This week Core Strategy banked 50-plus points, and those setups made great adds for traders already long from the Zoom session.
MICROS TRADER BASICS
Our System: Three Ways We Make Money
The Micros Trader system is built around one discipline: we trade the same chart, draw the same levels, and take the same trades for the same reasons. Together We Trade Better is not just a phrase — it is the structure the entire system runs on.
Core Strategy is intra-day scalping at Bounce Levels… specific zones on the chart where institutions step in and defend price. That defense is what produces the bounce. Members enter with a limit order, manage with the Three Contract System, and keep a risk-free runner working for the larger move. For cash and retirement accounts, these intra-day scalps can develop into multi-day swing trades.
Live Zoom Trading runs Monday through Friday, going live about 20 minutes before the open through 11:00 AM CT. Members hear real-time reasoning on every setup… who controls, what the read is, and when to stand down. Trading live with the group builds the patience and discipline that solo trading cannot replicate. You stop guessing and start seeing.
The Daily Battle Plan maps three to seven pre-planned trade ideas directly onto your TradingView chart each evening via the Battle Plan Indicator. Combined with the Strong Levels Indicator, it identifies the highest-probability trade locations before the market opens. By the time RTH begins, every decision is already made.
