Together We Trade Better: Why You Should Never Trade Alone
Trading alongside a group on the same chart and the same levels keeps you disciplined, holds you in runners, catches what you miss… and picks you up after losses.
2022–2026
Together We Trade Better. George’s flagship community teaching says this: a trader inside a live trading room, watching the same chart and the same levels as a group of like-minded traders, will out-trade the same trader sitting alone. The group supplies discipline, extra eyes, help in live trades, and a place to celebrate wins and recover from losses. You should never trade alone.
“Together we do trade better.”
This page gathers everything George teaches about trading in community across years of live ES E-mini futures and MES micro futures sessions… why the lone-wolf path fails so many traders, and what a futures trading room built the right way actually does for you.
“I see lots of guys… ‘Oh, I learned everything on my own. I have my own system. I trade by myself.’ I wouldn’t want to trade like that. Find you a group of people. Find a system that works for you.”
Same Chart, Same Levels, Same Trades
Community only works when everyone hunts the same trade. George builds his live trading room around one system… every member watches the same ES futures chart, marks the same Strong Levels, and waits for the same Battle Plan entries. He calls it iron sharpens iron.
“Make sure you have a community of traders around you that support you… where iron sharpens iron. Preferably where you’re trading the same charts, marking the same levels, and taking the same trades.”
Compare that to the rooms most traders have suffered through. Ten gurus, ten systems, everybody talking past each other:
“If you’ve ever been in trading rooms where people were always trying to one-up each other, or who took the most obscure trade possible… none of that exists in our room. We’re all trading the same chart with the same levels, with the same reasons for entering our trades.”
One shared system makes help possible. When everybody trades No Level, No Trade, any member can check any other member’s trade in seconds… “we can help each other out because it’s either a level or it’s not” (April 16, 2025). And the refinement compounds. “We’re all trading the same trades on the same chart… because then we can refine that and get it even better” (January 1, 2025).
The Group Keeps You Disciplined
Alone, every bad idea sounds reasonable. In a live futures trading room, discipline turns social. You hear like-minded traders standing down, so you stand down. Nobody around you enters garbage, so you skip the garbage too… “the group helps you do that because you don’t see anyone entering a trade for some whacked out reason that you don’t understand” (June 29, 2026).
“Several of them said, ‘If it wasn’t for this group, I would be really red today.'”
Members describe the room as a squawk box that quiets the itchy trigger finger:
“Zoom has been great, kind of like a squawk box for me. Good to hear like-minded traders trading. Helps me keep my hand off the trigger.”
The accountability runs both directions. Feel yourself tilting toward revenge trades? Say so out loud… “go into the trading floor and say, ‘Hey, I’m starting to be stupid. Somebody yell at me'” (June 17, 2026). Even George leans on it: “being in the room and being in the group helps me so much to stay disciplined” (February 25, 2023).
“A lot of people’s habits completely change once they join our group. No level, no trade. Period. Make price come to you. No prediction trading.”
That culture stays deliberate. “We’re not about flashing cash. We’re about consistency and discipline and knowing where we want to trade. And we wait till price gets there” (June 27, 2026). Discipline like Make Price Come to You sticks faster when the whole room lives it.
Extra Eyes Catch What You Miss
One trader watches one screen. A room full of traders watches every timeframe at once. That coverage catches setups, warns of danger, and spots the disorderly price action you can’t see when you’re inside it.
“I can’t look at everything on every timeframe. But as we’re trading in a group, somebody will yell out, ‘Hey George, look at the one minute,’ and I’ll pop over to the one minute and I go… oh my goodness, perfect level, Fair Value Gap.”
The same principle protects you on ugly days. Recognizing you’re stuck in squirrelly, disorderly price action ranks among the hardest skills in day trading… “it’s hard to recognize you’re in this, and that’s one of the reasons trading as a group is really good” (November 26, 2022). George grounds it in an old proverb about many advisers: “A single pair of eyes, no matter how skilled, only sees so much” (December 9, 2025).
| Situation | Trading alone | Trading with the group |
|---|---|---|
| A setup forms on another timeframe | You never see it. | Somebody calls it out in real time. |
| Price turns disorderly | You keep trading it and bleed. | The room recognizes it and stands down together. |
| A runner starts moving | You exit early, alone with your nerves. | The group helps you hold for the bigger move. |
| You start spiraling | Nobody stops you. | You ask, and somebody yells at you… by invitation. |
Ask for Help in a Live Trade
The room earns its keep the moment you’re in a trade and unsure what to do next. Where does the stop go? Should you scale? George’s standing invitation: ask.
“You can always ask for help in the group. ‘Hey George, I’m long from this point… where should I put my stop?’ And it’s a great discussion for everybody.”
The help hits hardest on runners. Holding a runner for the big move tests every nerve you have, and a calm outside voice changes the outcome… “if you want help managing your runner, please ask, because I’m not emotionally involved with your trade. I can give you the best advice I can give you” (June 9, 2026). George treats it as a core service of the room: “helping traders stay in trades is something we do as a group. It’s easier to do it as a group” (January 8, 2025).
Does it work? Ask the members. One trader, coached through a winner live on Zoom:
“How much less stressful was trading this morning than when you have traded on your own? Way less stressful. I would have been out of this trade way before this on my own.”
And direction never divides the room. When members hold longs and George holds a short, he cheers for the runner either way… “when people in our group are long and they’re holding a lotto runner, I’m cheering for them” (June 7, 2026). Riding the move matters. Being right about direction pays nothing extra.
Celebrate the Wins, Recover From the Losses
Trading gets lonely at the exact moments that matter most. Nail a 30-point winner and your family smiles politely. Take a painful loss and nobody in the house knows what to say. Other traders do.
“No one knows what you’re going through as a trader except other traders. Let us celebrate the successes with you.”
The celebrating comes with structure. Milestones get called out like a test pilot marking speed… “whenever we hit 10 points, 20 points, 30 points, we celebrate that in our group”, Mach 1, Mach 2 (August 21, 2025). Post your 10, 20, 30-pointers and George gives you the shout-out… “you deserve that level of recognition” (November 30, 2024). Why does that matter? Because outsiders can’t share it: “there’s a lot of things we do you can’t celebrate with your spouse… I was like, ‘I got to tell somebody'” (June 28, 2026).
The losses matter even more. A professional loser still needs a crew after a rough one, and the group exists for exactly that:
“Help you dust the dirt off of you, pick you back up, help you develop the back-to-basics game plan.”
Honesty makes it safe. When George gets frustrated live, he shows it, then walks away on camera… and members notice: “it’s nice to see that we all get the same emotions. That’s one of the things that’s nice about being in a trading group that is honest” (May 19, 2026). The room even keeps it light during the slow stretches… when a runner grinds and boredom creeps in, members hunt for animal shapes on the chart (May 13, 2026). Trading with friends beats white-knuckling alone.
Build Your Trading Team
George extends the lesson past any single room. Every futures day trader needs a team… people whose counsel you trust, who trade the way you trade, who have walked the path ahead of you.
“I certainly didn’t figure it out all by myself, nor do I continue to figure it out by myself… I have my own trading team, and I recommend you building your trading team.”
Real counsel means something specific. “It’s not reading what someone says on Twitter… true counsel involves seeking wisdom from those who have walked the path successfully, learning from their mistakes, submitting our plans to scrutiny of experienced voices” (December 9, 2025). Quick tips and hot predictions off social media fail that test every time. Seek many advisers with different strengths… fundamental and technical, scalpers and swing traders. Each one holds a piece of the puzzle your isolated view misses.
And a good team enforces a standard of character. George’s one rule for room membership:
“I tell everyone, if you want to stay in this group, you’ve got to lead with kindness and helpfulness.”
Lead with neediness and you’re out. That single standard produces what members call “the most supportive group of any group you could ever be in… we’re here for trader development” (June 28, 2026). Curious what a session actually looks like? Walk through one in Inside a Live Futures Trading Room.
