TODAY’S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
Base Hits
Singles and doubles, all week long.
We ran the same play over and over.
To use a football analogy… we ran it straight up the middle… the entire game… three yards at a time.
Grinding out first downs. No highlight reel. No long bomb. Just chains moving.
Zero 100 pointers this week. We usually get one Hail-Mary. Two weeks ago we had four or five, and one of them ran 400 points all by itself.
Sure, the scoreboard looks pitiful… Look closer.
We never abandon our trade plan, not even once.
Day in and day out, we read the daily price action clearly. 5-points here. 10-points there. A 30-pointer Thursday. They add up!
That is consistency. That is accuracy.
Isn’t that the trader you want to be?
Consistent. Accurate. Every Single Day.
Winning is a habit… practiced daily.
We battled hard and won!
We paid our dues on the gridiron this week.
We logged the hours. We were on the right side of price action every day. We practiced holding runners and had amazing discussions – cheering for each other along the way.
So… Ice your sore shoulders and bruised knees.
We head back on the field Monday.
No mercy.
See you there.
Battle Plan 1️⃣ ES Long
Price almost made it to the Drop Zone.
Nice ladder back.
On Zoom, I warned that we had a Small Range Alert and to expect little follow-through.
And… that the rest of the day would hardly be worth trading.
Boy, did that turn out to be true.
Multiple traders took different entries around this Strong Range. Small green day all the way around.
This entry, if you got the entry – it missed me by 1 tick – ES climbed 8 points and came running back down in the power hour.
Nothing to do on Friday in the Power Hour.
ES Implied Move
A very modest range.
Will we take an implied move? We didn’t this week.
I must say… I do find the range low very interesting! That is the level I’ve been wanting ES to get to all week.

Tip of the Day
Trade The Edges:
The edges of the range hold the liquidity, the reactions, and the money.
Wait for price to reach an edge. The middle is where patience goes to die.

Points Accumulated This Week:
Battle Plan: 50+
🔥 NADA. We are NOWHERE near a high-probability trade location. Luckily, the Battle Plan is just one way we make points in our Micros Trader System.
The Battle Plan is consistently the category that makes the most points. Not this week.
Zoom: 50+
🔥 8-Point Short.
Horrible Level Development… that probably relates to the small range alert.

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What is a Strong Level in ES futures?
A: A Strong Level is a price area where buyers and sellers have fought before… and left evidence. Big volume traded there. Price reversed there. So when price returns, traders react again. In this Battle Plan, 7820 is the Strong Level to watch. Get above it and adding to a long makes sense. Levels like that are your map. You do not chase price in the middle of nowhere… you wait for price to come to the level.
What does the Battle Plan mean by trading the edges of the range?
A: The edges of a range hold the liquidity, the reactions, and the money. That is where orders sit and where price actually turns. The middle is where patience goes to die. You chop yourself to pieces in there. So wait. Let price travel to the top or the bottom of the range, then take your shot. Range Rules Rule… bottom of the range, ladder back long. Top of the range, look the other way.
What is the Core Strategy?
A: The Core Strategy is a separate way we make points, apart from the Battle Plan. It leans on level development… clean, well-formed levels that give you a repeatable read on price. This week it scored zero. Horrible level development, and that likely ties back to the small range. No development, no trade. That is the discipline. You do not force a strategy into a market that is not offering it.
What is the ES Implied Move and how do I use it?
A: The implied move is the range the options market expects ES to travel in a given week. It comes from the SPX at the money straddle applied to ES front month futures. For the week ending Aug 21, 2026, the expected range runs from 7,731.13 to 7,877.87 around a price of 7,804.50… roughly plus or minus 73 points, or 0.94 percent. Use it as a boundary map. The edges of that range are places price often reacts. Not financial advice… just a level to respect.
What does it mean to hold a lotto runner and add to a winning trade?
A: A lotto runner is the last piece of your position that you let run after taking profit on the rest. You are risking a small, already-paid-for portion for a much bigger move. Adding to a winning trade means stacking size onto a position that is already working, at your next mapped level. That is the opposite of knife catching. If price is vomiting down with a vengeance, you do not step in front of it. You add where your plan told you to add, and only when you are green.
