Inside a Live Futures Trading Room
Pull back the curtain on the daily Zoom session… how points get made, why longs and shorts both win, and what one micro contract a day really buys you.
2022–2026
A live futures trading room is a daily session where a trader works the market out loud in real time. At MicrosTrader, that room runs on Zoom around the open. George maps the day’s ES E-mini futures and MES micro futures setups, calls entries live, warns the group off bad ones, and manages his own contracts on screen. You watch price action get read, called, and traded… together, in the moment.
“Zoom is like a college class in price action. You come to the lab, we watch price action, we call it live, we trade it live, and together we trade better.”
This page walks you through exactly how the daily session works. The three ways members make points, the pre-mapped Battle Plan plus live reaction trading, the Speculator Special, why traders on opposite sides of the market both profit, and the simple value math George runs every week.
Three Ways We Make Points
Start with the engine. Inside this futures trading room, points come three ways. Miss one and you miss part of the edge.
- The Battle Plan. Pre-mapped long and short zones George publishes before the session. You can trade it whether or not you show up live.
- Live on Zoom. Real-time entries called during the session, read straight off the tape as price moves.
- The Core Strategy. The bounce-level method George calls his advanced scalping system, taught inside the group.
“In our system, there’s three ways to make points. Number one is by trading the battle plan. Two is by being live on Zoom for additional entries. And the core strategy, which is our advanced scalping system.”
The live piece hinges on what George calls “butt time.” Sit through the session and you catch high-probability trades the plan alone can’t map in advance… “What are we seeing based off butt time that’s a high probability trade?” (May 30, 2026). Being present is the edge. And the Core Strategy? You learn it when you learn the bounce levels inside the room, right alongside the weekly Strong Levels.
The Battle Plan Plus Live Reaction Trading
The Battle Plan is the spine of the room. George nearly stepped away from it once. Instead he committed harder… “I did double down. I’ve triple downed on it” (Mar 17, 2026). It became the primary thing. Every session now starts from a pre-mapped ES futures plan.
The plan hands you locations. Live Zoom hands you dynamic price action on top of them. That’s where new entries get born mid-session:
“When you’re live on Zoom, well, you’re getting some dynamic price action and you’re able to map out new potential entries. And that’s honestly the beautiful benefit of being on Zoom.”
The plan sets the table. Live reaction trading serves the meal. When George gives you multiple ladder entries into a zone, he flags the safest one so you’re never guessing… “If I give multiple ladders, of course, I’m going to indicate to you where I believe the safest entry is” (Mar 31, 2026).
The AM Briefing right before the bell
George tuned the timing over the years. The AM Briefing now lands about 15 minutes before the open, rolled straight into the live session. He feels sharper for it… “AM briefing 15 minutes before the market opens… I feel much more prepared, to be honest” (Mar 28, 2026). And it keeps evolving.
The Speculator Special
Some sessions carry more conviction than others. On those, George tags one trade in the plan as the Speculator Special… the single highest-conviction setup he wants members focused on. It’s the trade he’d take himself and point to first when the room goes live.
“We had the speculator special here, which was a short at that 6977… When we went live, I brought this trade out. I went, ‘This is the first trade I’m going to look for here.’ And that was the trade I took and got paid very, very well. That made my week.”
A short at 6977, called ahead of time, taken live, paid well. One flagged setup can carry an entire week. That’s the whole idea behind the Speculator Special… it points your attention at the trade most worth showing up for.
Why Longs and Shorts Both Win
Here’s the part that surprises new traders. In this room, a member who’s long and a member who’s short can both make money on the same day. How? The Battle Plan marks good spots in both directions. George hunts longs at the right places and shorts at the right places, so both sides get served.
“People can be short, people can be long, we both make money.”
George said it plainly back in 2025 too… “If you know you’re short making money, I’m long making money, that’s the way it works in the group” (Mar 25, 2025). The market’s direction becomes a menu you order from.
That freedom runs deep. Your own plan can be a subset of the whole method. Some members never short. Some only trade the Battle Plan. George blesses all of it… “Their individual plan could be a subset of everything. But it doesn’t matter. You do you” (May 30, 2026). Everybody runs the same core system with minor tweaks, which was the whole design from day one.
“Everybody’s different, right? That’s the whole idea of this. You trade different than I, we all are basically doing the same thing with minor tweaks.”
So don’t expect the room to march in lockstep. One trader banks a quick 10-pointer. Another holds a runner for the swing. Both are right… “We’re not all on the same train. You do you. You are in charge of your own trading business. I’m only here to offer guidance” (Feb 25, 2026).
The Value That Comes From Trades You Skip
Most people measure a trading room by the trades it calls. George measures it by the trades it keeps you out of. Keeping traders onside is where he believes the real value lives.
“That’s where my play calling pays for itself, in my humble opinion, keeping traders onside… I warned the group, do not go short here anticipating that we’re even going to get the low below. Don’t do it. The play was long or flat all day.”
That protection is a form of risk management you can’t run alone. And it runs both ways. George won’t call a trade against the direction most of his members already hold… “I don’t like to call out an opposite trade that most of my traders are in” (May 9, 2026). He’s on your side of the ledger.
He’ll even end the session early to protect you. Rare, but he’ll do it when the tape turns dangerous… “I’m going to lead by example and say I am so leaving. I am ending Zoom early. Do not trade this” (Sep 28, 2025). And on days he smells a big move, he stays on longer out of obligation to keep everyone safe. The membership standard sits right here:
“Your membership should make you money. It should never, ever, ever cost you money. It should be making you money. That is my goal… Do we get a trade every single day? No, we don’t. But that’s okay.”
And plenty of the value shows up after the live session ends. The action that follows the morning call often teaches more than the call itself… “Sometimes what happens after is even more valuable. There’s a lot of value in being a full member and being in the group throughout the day” (Oct 15, 2025).
One Micro E-Mini A Day Pays For The Room
Now the math George runs every week. His goal: one well-crafted trade a week whose runner, managed right, covers your entire membership for the month. Break the cost down by the day and it barely registers.
“Every week I want to bring one trade that… that one trade on that one week pays for your entire membership all month long. It’s five bucks a day. If you manage your runner properly and how I’m crafting the entry makes sense to you, that one trade pays for your entire month.”
Learn to hold the runner and that one micro E-mini trade a week does the heavy lifting. The value case flips at low cost too. Skip a single bad trade because George warned you off it, and the month already paid for itself… “Skip just one bad trade because of my commentary, you paid for the month. At $2.50, the only bad trade here is passing on this one” (May 21, 2026).
The smartest way to test the room
New to all this? Don’t guess. George’s own recommendation is the cheapest full look you can get… “If you do the week Zoom pass with the 7-day free trial of the battle plan, for 50 bucks you’re getting a week almost all-access pass” (Apr 24, 2026). Spend a week inside. Watch the price action get called live.
One honest caution. Watch long enough and the room tends to pull you in… “If you watch the live stream often enough… you’re going to want to do what we do. It’s like the free sample you get at Costco” (Jun 15, 2026). If you already run your own method, the Battle Plan bolts onto it. If you’re brand new without a system, you want the full membership… “Don’t just do the battle plan. You want to become a full member. That’s the full system” (Jun 13, 2026). Either way, George gives new members a personal water-hose tour of everything on a slow day.
“Iron sharpens iron. We all trade the same chart, looking for the same trades. It certainly makes trading easier.”
