TODAY’S REVIEW: ES FUTURES
FOMC
The afternoon scalpingScalpingQuick in, quick out. Targeting small profits (5-20 points) many times per day. High win rate, tight stops, fast decisions. Full entry → session on YouTube was fun.
ES Warning
In last night’s Battle PlanBattle PlanA set of pre-mapped trade scenarios created the night before trading begins. This is your roadmap for the day. It outlines specific zones where you're interested in engaging price—long or short—if the market behaves according to plan. Full entry → I gave the following warning.
I did my best to keep reminding you when we were trading live.
Battle Plan 4️⃣ ES Long
🔥 40-Point Long Battle Plan 4️⃣
Price touch the tip of the drop zone and catapulted 40 point.
Battle Plan 6️⃣ ES Long
During the afternoon live stream, I said, “This is where the bulls MUST defend.” This was a do or die location for the bulls.
I took two different longs.
One was a small loss. Although my conviction is high, I cannot let my green day go red! I wanted to keep my powder dry for one more attempt.
I got it!
I jumped in long on the reclaim of the Strong Level and had a nice trade.
BUT…. I added to my winning trade a little too early and missed the bigger run. That is disappointing. It’s disappointing because I believe this trade will turn into a 100 pointer. You can’t be in every trade nor will you. There’s another high probability trade around the corner.
It’s funny because IF I not been live streaming, I’m certain I would not have added that early, but it is what it is. This is one reason I like to be up by more than 20 points before adding to my winning trade. It gives plenty room. Man.
Battle Plan 5️⃣ Short
🔥 20+Point Short Battle Plan 5️⃣
Well, once we lost the range, as discussed on YouTube this afternoon, you could take the short if you wanted to.
Target Hit.
My Bull Bear Target
This might be the most important part of the entire Battle Plan tonight.
My target? The Bull Bear Line.
The target never came to fruition – today that is!
Look at the overnight session and tell me, without snickering, that the bulls were not firmly in control marching toward the Bull Bear Line. That 30-minute trend line held like a champ.
But… Range Rules Ruled.
Instead of breaking north toward the Bull Bear Line, we broke south. Much to my shock and chagrin.
You know me, I love monster pullbacks. The squeezes are equally violent. And today delivered both.
So the target failed.
Did my trading fail? Nope.
Did I allow the proposed target to change how I trade? Nope.
Did I keep Range Rules top of mind the whole way? Yes.
Did I express extreme caution about knife catching on break down after losing Battle Plan 4️⃣? Yes.
Did I warn that losing Battle Plan 4️⃣ could be a sight to behold? Yes.
Did we eventually get our turnaround long at a mapped Battle Plan location for a beautiful trade? Yes.
Did you need to take a single trade today on FOMCFOMC (Federal Open Market Committee)The Fed committee that sets monetary policy. FOMC meeting days = volatility. The 2:00 PM announcement and press conference can swing ES 100+ points. Full entry →? NOPE!
LESSON: A target is just that, a target… never a promise. You can’t let a target or a bias or an opinion get in the way of good trading. Anything… and I mean anything… is possible on FOMC.
🔥 Never let what you think should happen interfere with what is happening.
Keep a clear mind and read the price action objectively.
What is actually happening on the chart? That is always my main goal.
Tip of the Day
Ten points of locked green beats twenty points of maybe.
When the market hands you a gift, take it and smile. Green Over GreedGreen Over GreedA psychological rule reminding you to lock in a profitable ("green") day and walk away rather than risking those profits by overtrading. Full entry →… every single time.

COMMON QUESTIONS FOR ES FUTURES TRADERS
What does Green Over Greed mean in the Battle Plan?
A: Green Over Greed is a Micros Trader rule for protecting profit. When you are up on the day, you lock it in and stop pushing. Ten points of locked green beats twenty points of maybe. In Battle Plan #393, George took a small loss on a first long and refused to let a green day go red… he kept his powder dry for one more attempt. When the market hands you a gift, take it and smile. Green Over Greed… every single time.
What is a Strong Level and how was it used on FOMC day?
A: A Strong Level is a mapped price on the ES chart where buyers or sellers have proven they will defend. It is a location where price is likely to react, so it becomes a place to enter, add, or target. In this Battle Plan, George went long on the reclaim of a Strong Level at the do or die spot where the bulls had to defend… and it turned into a nice trade. The aggressive Range Rules short in tomorrow’s notes also targets the next Strong Level down.
What are Range Rules and why did the Bull Bear Line target fail?
A: Range Rules means you respect the edges of the current range. Hold the range and you expect a move toward the far side. Lose the range and you expect a break the other way. George’s target for FOMC was the Bull Bear Line to the upside. The overnight trend line held and the bulls looked in control… then price broke south instead. Range Rules Ruled. The lesson is simple. A target is just that, a target… never a promise. Never let what you think should happen interfere with what is happening. Read the price action objectively.
What is the Core Strategy in the scoreboard?
A: The Core Strategy is the Micros Trader method for Full Members. It is the set of repeatable setups George trades day in and day out, separate from the mapped Battle Plan levels. This week the Core Strategy added 30+ points, including a 20+ point long discussed on Zoom. The Battle Plan levels tell you where price may react. The Core Strategy tells you how to trade once you get there.
Why are there no high probability trades for the day after FOMC?
A: Tomorrow is the ultimate sandwich day. It sits between FOMC and Triple Witching OPEX. Markets are still digesting the Fed, and options expirationExpirationThe last day a contract trades before it settles. For ES/MES, this is the third Friday of March, June, September, and December. Full entry → adds squirrelly, unpredictable flows. That combination lowers the odds on every setup. The Battle Plan still maps a continuation long, a range defense long, an aggressive Range Rules short, and a way down yonder long just in case. But the plan is clear… expect chop, keep size small, and do not force a trade that is not there.
MICROS TRADER BASICS
Psychological Distance
Psychological Distance is one of Micros Trader’s five core values. It is the practiced ability to create space between an impulse and an action… to pause before reacting, to step back before overtrading, to recognize when the session is done and close the platform.
George teaches Close the DOM as a discipline technique: physically closing TradingView after a win or a loss. Closing the platform creates distance… a reset, a chance to return with a clear head. The traders who last in this business are the ones who can regulate themselves under pressure. That is the skill Micros Trader develops.
